Our dedication to public safety doesn't end in the back of an ambulance. It reaches far beyond that and to even our youngest, most vulnerable citizens. In December of 2024, BCDES became a recognized Child Passenger Safety Seat Inspection Site through the Virginia Department of Health. We have several staff members who are certified through SafeKids Worldwide as Child Passenger Safety Technicians and are available to meet with you to inspect your child passenger safety seat.
Who can get a seat check done?
This service is available to anyone who may transport a child in a vehicle.
Does it cost anything?
No! This service is completely free.
Do I have to live in Buckingham to schedule a seat check?
No! This service is available to anyone regardless of where you live.
What happens during a seat check?
After you fill out the form below, one of our technicians will be in contact with you to schedule at appointment. During your appointment you will be asked to fill out some general information, your car seat will be checked for recalls, we will ensure the car seat you are using is the best one for the child's age, height, and weight, we will teach you how to adjust the car seat straps, and we will teach you how to install the car seat correctly.
